History

Dear Elena, I'm very happy to receive news from you I'm responding immediately and sending you the following information:
  1. The Orphanage took the name of DOMINGO SAVIO, because he met all the conditions for being the protector and model for the children. He comes from a humble and strong christian family, an excellent student, spiritually strong and very brave defending his principles.

He is borned in Italy, April 2, 1842 and dies the 9th of March 1857.

His teacher was Don Bosco, founder of the Salesianos, and in those years Domingo was his student, and at the the same time helping his teacher in forming the children which Don Bosco would pickup from the streets, from very poor families where they had abundance of bad examples; alcohol and physical abuse.

  2. The Trappist Catholic Monks,
dedicate themselves to Prayer, Agriculture and other works.

They are in Chile, from the year 1950, actually they live by the suburb of Graneros, 7 miles towards the Andes Mountains.

The Monks support the poorest people in a quiet and active way. From this sprouts their decision to help and support us from the beginning our Orphanage, believing our proposal. They receive the donations coming from the United States, till the present time.

  3. At present the Orphanage has a checking account:
